Our Story

Built for the
slow morning.

Red Canoe Coffee & Books started with a simple idea: what if a café didn't rush you out the door? What if it gave you somewhere to stay awhile — with a good cup in hand and a shelf of stories within reach?

Located on State Route 9 in Champlain, we've created a space that feels like neither a chain nor an afterthought. It's a living room for the neighborhood, a reading nook for the curious, and a coffee bar that takes its espresso seriously.

Whether you're picking up a paperback for the weekend or settling in with a latte and your laptop, this is your spot. No agenda but good company and better coffee.

The Bookstore

Every title on our shelves was chosen by people who actually read — not by an algorithm. We stock fiction and nonfiction, local authors and undiscovered voices, new releases and quiet backlist gems. There are no bestseller tables shouting at you. Just books, arranged with care.

Grab a coffee. Pull a chair. Stay as long as you like.
